Buckman Jet Drilling, Inc., BJD, has patented a
revolutionary approach to horizontal drilling that can be used to
provide extraordinary returns in the oil and gas industry.
Based on high-pressure jet drilling technology, the BJD drilling
system provides a highly economical method for significantly
enhancing oil and gas production on both existing wells and new
wells.
The heart of the drilling system is a patented cutting nozzle
that provides the ability to penetrate the well casing and drill
lateral bore holes that increase the surface contact with the oil
and gas. The system employs a flexible hose and nozzle
combination which enables one to go down an existing vertical
bore hole and to turn in a matter of inches to drill horizontally,
rather than using the expensive method requiring a several
feet turning radius. This short turning radius eliminates the
costly process of under reaming the casing and borehole. In
addition, the precise nature of the drilling method provides for
the recovery of resources that have previously been untapped
by existing vertical wells, such as for shallow zones.
